Christmas Tree Craft made easy!!
We all like Easy Right!!!!
Now you have to admit these wee trees are so cute.....................
Here's where I found my inspiration........
While visiting Dee at A Lapin Life she had posted Fabric Trees just
in time for Christmas.....................................
Well a light bulb went off.......................
I have a die for just that .........cute Christmas Trees
I have a AccuQuilt cutter......
So .....................................
Here's how to make them.........
Dee as a pattern that you can download ................
or cut out your own pattern.......run with it......
you will need:
Felt of many colours cut 2 of each colour
small pieces of wood....mine 3/4 " pine x 2 1/2"
(I pulled from hubbys scraps)
doweling 1/4" cut into 3 sections 4"
craft paint
$store pom poms...lge and sm.
Glue
hot glue gun
wired trim
stuffing
Now lets assemble them:
glue your pom poms on ........let dry
then run a bead of glue around the edge of one of the trees leaving an opening at the bottom
press them together.......
let dry......
now take your wood block and drill 1/4" and drill into the wood just enough for the doweling to go in
Now its time to paint....I used black
When the trees have dried it's time to stuff them...............
place them on the doweling adding a drop of glue to hold in place...............
Lets make a small wreath for the top with the wired trim ...I cut them about 1" lgth
Glue to the top of the tree with the hot glue.
Now's the time to decorate with the larger Pom Poms...
Have fun!!
Happy Holidays!!
