and this....................

Pretty messy right!!!!!

Well it has been some time since I made a quilt....or quilted one........

So this quilting frame was moved to this wall under the window......................

Next the cutting table was moved to the closet wall.....................

In case you were wondering what that gadget on the right of my cutting table....

It's a wool cutter, for making strips for rug hooking..............

Storage for ribbons, books, freezer paper for transferring applique......

Storage for paints, easels, wool, wrapping paper........etc.....in here....behind these doors
.

I know more work need to be done in here.............

Fabric storage is in here....................

Too many sewing machines..........

Beads,florist,moss, glitter........etc.....here.....

Oh yes and storage here for stamps, ink, paper product........

My sewing/craft desk cleaned up.................................

Told you it would be a long post..... Hope you enjoyed the tour.........

Do you have a special place to hang out.......craft....sew.....

  1. Good Evening Linda, What a lovely large space to have as a sewing/craft room.
I have a sewing room, it isn't very large, so when I am busy it can become a little messy, but about once a month.....or maybe two, depending on how busy I am, I have a clear up. If I am being honest, it doesn't take long to return to it's original state. I say it is because I need a larger room, or is it that maybe I am just a messy worker....I think I'll go with the first explanation as that sits better.
    Best Wishes

  2. Oooooo....I agree with Daphne! What a wonderful place to play in. It doesn't look very messy to me. I love you have one big room to sew and to craft in. I sew in a guest bedroom and craft on one end of my sunporch. I could be jealous but I won't be. :)
    Be a weetie,

  3. Hi Linda, What a great room; I love our table for your Featherweight and of course your cutting table is great too. I only have a small sewing table that only will hold my machine-I'd love to have a table like yours. We definitely do need our own space to create in. Thank you for sharing; you've done a wonderful job organizing.

  4. Hi Linda,
What a fantastic space to craft and play in!! The natural light is beautiful, love all of your work zones. I can see you spending many happy hours in there. The quilting frame fits perfectly under the window. Enjoy and have fun!
    All the Best,

I am pitiful compared to you...do you sell crafts that you make...
I guess Mr WWH has his own little work shop as well...

  6. Looks very organized to me! My studio, where I paint glassware for my business,is in an area of my kitchen so I have to keep it neat, but luckily I have 1/2 of a garage that can be messy! It's hard to be neat and creative at the same time! Good luck, hope you get tons done!

  7. You have a great space for all your sewing and crafting Linda. I don't do any of that so I don't have a space per se. Hubby has his music room/man caves for his pass time downstairs and I spend my hours upstairs in my space.

  8. You're so lucky to have your own craft/sewing room! Looks like the perfect place to while away the hours to make something pretty. I don't own a sewing machine so I don't have a sewing room. If I did though, I'd love to have an organized space like yours!

  11. I was relegated to the unfinished basement of our 1935 era house when we first moved in a couple of years ago. I was sewing, painting furniture, crafting, working on paper arts all on a folding table down in the dungeon. Every time I wanted to move from one craft to another, I had to move everything. Then I decided we didn't really need a 2nd guest room ALL the time, so moved all my "soft crafts" (sewing, knitting, embroidery) to that room - bought a little pantry unit to store everything in, set up a table and ironing board. It's so much better to have some light.

Your room looks awesome. I wish I could keep mine that neat. Great job!! Doesn't it inspire you just to walk in there!

  15. Very nice space - I envy you all the long walls! I am also coveting that wonderful cabinet you have for fabric storage! If I may ask, I have a Janome DP1600 and I am looking for a frame. Wondering what frame you are using?

  16. Looks like you have a great space to create. I also have a studio/hobby room athough I think it is quite a bit smaller (our smallest and 4th bedroom upstairs.) I finally finished painting it and had to totally reorganize it after that. It is much better but I still have to turn the farmtable to squeeze a dresser in. I wish I had your lovely fabric cabinet!

  24. What a great workable space, Linda! I absolutely love looking at other bloggers craft-sewing rooms, who truly use their spaces & aren't just decorating another room to make it pretty to look at. I think you can have both, but mainly it needs to be a place you want to create in, and you can see that's what your space is. Love it!

  25. I did enjoy the tour! Thank you for showing me. I love to see craft studios. Which sewing machine do you like best? I just got the Brother one you have in your closet for free with my husband's airline miles rewards. I haven't had a sewing machine for years but I made a few things with it and I think it will work for me for now. I had never seen a wool cutter. I want to see some of your projects now. Have a happy Sunday.
