Day 4 Christmas "Joy " Tutorial

Day 4  Christmas "JOY" Tutorial,

While out at WalMart the other day I came across
these wooden letters.
They were only $1.47 each.
So I picked up J O Y.

I knew exactly what I was going to do with them.
For this project you will need:
Three letters J O Y
White craft paint....I used $ store brand $1.00
brushes or sponge brush
Glue....white Elmers glue is fine
Martha Stewart Glitter kit.
A small bottle brush tree (red)
A piece of wood that measures 14" x 1/2"
Router out middle to accommodate the letters.
Lets begin.
First Paint the letters  white. Once the letters are dry now apply the glue. Generously.  Make sure you have some paper down, because this becomes messy.
Once these are dry, you can hang them just the way they are or place them on a stand the way I have.
Take your stand and paint it white as well and then add the glue and glitter.
Take your letters and space them on your stand. Now you are ready to attach them with wood glue.
I have taken my bottle brush tree off its stand and made a small hole in the centre of the O. I added a tiny bit of glue to hold it
in place.
Here is my "JOY" completed.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and will try to make one yourself.
I would love to see your finished projects.
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I read everyone.

  8. Hi Linda
Where in Ontario are you? I'm near Ottawa.
I made similar wooden letters that said "PINK" last year. I glued them to a PINK heart mirror that hangs in my bathroom. LOVE YOUR TUTORIALS.
I see your family likes old cars. We had a 1928 Model A Ford. It had been my hubby's family since then. We finally sold it this summer. It was sad to see it go, but we never used it, and our boys weren't interested in it, so somebody else is now enjoying a treasure.
    Happy week Linda.
    Love Claudie
