GLITTER EGGS/TUTORIAL

              Easter is fast approaching....

How would you like to have eggs that glitter??

Here is an Easy Peasy tutorial for glittering eggs.

Here is what you will need:

large sytrofoam eggs          $ store
craft paint of your choice    $ store
glitter                                $ store
paint brushes or sponges
glue (I used good old Elmers )
toothpicks
styrofoam tray ( I recycled one for the meat)

First you are going to insert a toothpick into your eggs.

That makes it easy to hang on to while you paint.

Next paint all your eggs.

Then stick the toothpick into the overturned tray.

Let them dry completely (couple of hours)

Now you are ready to apply the glue.

Again holding onto the toothpick paint on glue

Now on another plate( I used styrofoam) take your
bottle of glitter and shake onto the glued egg.

Once completely covered stick the toothpick back into
the tray and let dry overnight..

Place them in a glass bowl, stand back and admire!!

That's it!!   Wasn't that Easy Peasy!!!!

Now rush out to the $$ store and buy all your supplies

and show me your pretty gorgeous eggs.

                                Thanks for visiting!!

  3. Terrific! I made something similar using round balls and gold glitter at Christmas. So easy and yet so dynamic.

I must get some of my bunnies out...buy some fresh flowers and try to make this place look more spring-like!!
Usually my front planter would be full of forsythia and pussy willow sticks, pansies and assorted daffodils and tulips...
Unfortunately my Christmas stuff is still frozen in time!!!!

    Oh well...this is Canada, eh??!!

  8. Those are beautiful. I did some this year on the paper mache' eggs and was able to do designs....like 3 crosses on a hill. Checkerboard. Stripes. Flowers.
Takes a little longer, because you have to change colors, but were really pretty too.

  10. Your eggs look great! I did this last year and found that they looked so much better than the already glittered eggs that you could buy at the dollar store etc.
