Where to ...............IKEA.................
Wanted to get some idea's..............for my dream kitchen...........
Took along a tape measure...................
You see we like the layout of our kitchen now , but the cupboards need updating....
(forgot my camera) I know I could have used my phone....but got caught up in looking

After a few HMMMM not sure and I don't like that.........
We have decided to have a cabinet maker come in and do some measuring and give us
a quote..............UPDATE TO FOLLOW!!!!!!!!!!!
But I did not come away empty handed.............
Do you wanna see..........
Went straight for the fabric...............
I can see some pillows .........maybe even some artwork..................
Artwork??? Yes that floral in a frame would look awesome in my guest room makeover...
Didn't I mention a room makeover....OOPS!!!!!
Fabric for fun!!
Of course some pillow inserts....Price $6.00 each.....squeal!!
Not 1 but 2 lacey planters.....$3.99 each.......aren't they purdy!!!!!
I can picture them with red Geraniums.......Sitting outside on my back porch....
Put on your sun glasses ...these Tea Towels in bright Orange and Teal!!
And last one thing I can't live without a Salad spinner........
Oh I could have shopped and shopped ............
Now I'm so excited....like a kid in a candy store....dreaming, pulling together....
colours.......new flooring.......paint.........new tile.........
Now I'm off to look at inspirational photo's...
Thanks for visiting!
Linda
There's no IKEA on the Island - the closest one is a very expensive ferry ride and the better part of a day away.....so when I go to the Mainland I always head there. I like their kitchens, especially like their fabrics and have an entire wall in the TV room with IKEA 'built-ins'.
ReplyDeleteI love the lacy little planters!
Very exciting Linda!!! Have you checked out Rhoda's kitchen remodel from Ikea, it's stunning! Here's the link...http://southernhospitalityblog.com/ikea-kitchen-renovation-cost-breakdown/
ReplyDeleteOh what fun ! I cant wait to see what it all looks like when your done and added all your colours and accessories ! Thanks for sharing with us ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I'm more envious of your future kitchen makeover or your trip to IKEA! (I've never been to IKEA.) Looks like you found some great items!
ReplyDeleteI went the kitchen remodel route two years ago. We don't have an IKEA here unfortunately. We went with a contractor and an N.B. kitchen company (now out of business!!) and got a beautiful kitchen out of it. I'm really happy and got a dishwasher for the first time too. :) Have fun. Take your time and shop around looking for the best quotes for the best service and product. It'll be worth it. Pamela
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Looks like you made it a great day. Good luck with the cabinets. I think if they have good bones, then getting them re-finished would be great! Saving money and getting a new look.
ReplyDeleteI haven't forgotten about you wanting some wire cloches. I always look when I am shopping.
The market area of Ikea is always my favourite - my shopping cart ineviditbly gets filled with all sorts of little treasures like a new cutting board, a dish brush and some replacement glassware. Didn't realize they had pillow forms at such a great price - I'll check that out next time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the kitchen makeover!!
Ikea has great kitchens...you are going to have so much fun with designing your kitchen....I can never leave that place without a cart load of great things!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had our kitchen cupboard doors replaced about 10 years ago...
Much less reno...much cheaper...and they look fabulous...just a thought!
Good luck with everything...love all the white milk glass...I am also a fan of that!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
