There is nothing like homemade granola.
Make a batch up and store it in a secure container.
I keep mine in a large Anchor Hocking Jar.
I sits out on the counter for everyone to see.
Makes a great breakfast for on the go,
or add it on top of Greek Yogurt.
I add granola, cinnamon, flax seed to my yogurt.
Makes for a healthy breakfast.
IT'S A GREAT ENERGY BOOST
6 C of oatmeal
1/2 C of wheat germ
1 1/2 C of slivered almonds
2 1/2 C of chopped pecans
1 C of coconut flakes
1 C of honey
1/2 C of canola oil
2 tbsp of vanilla
2 C of dried fruit .
Mix all the ingredients together except for the dried fruit.
Spread it out onto 2 large cookie sheets .
Bake @ 250 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Be sure to check and give mixture a good stirring.
Once it is done let is completely cool.
Then add your chopped fruit.
Also add in a handful of choc. chips.

Such a good idea! I adore the cup as a scoop.
ReplyDeleteMy mother has become the queen of the homemade granola bar. She thinks they are much better than store bought, plus she can control what's in them. Same would be true for this.
