Spring of 2012.
How many of us got burned with Country Homes Magazine when it closed its publication in Jan of 2009.
I had just taken out a subscription for one year when this publication ceased.
No one and I tell you no one called, emailed or wrote to me that this was no longer going to be published.
But yes they took my money....
I found out on line with some of you bloggers noting that this mag was no longer available.
Then I googled and found in New York Times that this mag had ceased publication.
Now a "NEW" MAGAZINE has surfaced still being the same Editors and President of Merideth National Media Group.
This so called Special Edition also costs twice as much.
This gal will not be subscribing again no matter how I love this mag.....

ReplyDeleteSame thing here! They had no problem taking my money, yet I never got the first magazine. They will never get another cent from me.

That is terrible that they didn't refund your money. You didn't even get one issue! I noticed that alot of these special editions are pictures from former magazines all put together in one. They charge so much because they don't have advertisments. I don't mind paying more if I love the magazine. It will be more like a decorating book that way. I heard from a reliable source that Country Home Magazine will probably start producing monthly issues again. It will be interesting to see if that really happens and what the response will be to it.
