Living in the Country

Last days of summer are here.  What a gorgeous day for taking pictures around the house.

We live in the country on a few acres.

 Apple trees, Pear trees..........


We have farm land all around.
Cow corn outside our back door.

Last Sunflowers, a pumpkin flower , fields of hay, an old weathered bird house.

Petunias giving their last show.



Enjoy the last taste of summer!!!

    So sorry to see it fade away but we have been truly blessed here in Illinois.
    A wonderful summer with only a couple weeks of extreme heat.
    Sorry to see the warmth go... summer needs to be 4-5 months long for me!

    I am so sad to see summer coming to a close. Even though I live in the deep south, where we enjoy balmy weather pretty much year round, I love the longer days of summer. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.

    Beautiful scenery! Reminds me of growing up out in the country ( Did not have our OWN farm but we were surrounded by a few :)
