Fall Home Tour 2012

Mini Fall Home Tour....
Welcome to our Home.

As you enter go up the stairs to the main landing.

then enter into the hub of our home The Kitchen

then off the kitchen is our formal Living room....... Traditional setting.

One of  features of our home is all the crown molding and hardwood floors throughout the main floor.

Then down the hall is our office.

My house is painted in one colour throughout.  Benjamin Moore Muslin.

I accent or bring in colour with antiques.

For the love of antiques. Here are some of my favourites.

Our guest room is an example.

An iron bed.

Antique plates on the wall, a antique ladder holding quilts...made by me, another passion of mine.

Happy Fall!

I hope you have enjoyed this mini tour of our humble home.

  2. Thanks for the tour of your beautiful home Linda. It is laid out very similarly to ours (split entry). You have some beautiful antiques and gorgeous quilts! I love the quilts on the ladder and at the front stairs. I was curious to see your light fixture over the stairwell as we are looking for new ones. I like what you have chosen. I was looking at a 5 light brushed nickel one with alabaster globes but changed my mind. We also have a light fixture at the top of the stairs and 2 down the hallway. It's a difficult decision as I'll have to live with them forever now! LOL I wish someone could come in and tell me what to buy!! :( Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  3. Hi. I live in a bi-level as well. from the back it looks like a ranch home but from the front looks like a two story. They have so much space but sometimes can be difficult to decorate. Ours is so open.....maybe too open.
I love what you have done. I wish all our floors were hardwood. I still have a few rooms to go. it makes a big difference.
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. You have the prettiest home, so welcoming :). Love the cuckoo clocks, I remember growing up having one, chiming on each hour. If I remember correctly my Mom saved enough coupons and she got it at the Busy Bee grocery store....now that is going back many, many moons ago! Do you remember that store, did you have one up near you? Have a happy Thanksgiving my friend. Diane

  10. Loved the tour and especially your beautiful quilts. I have two Hallowe'en quilts but just the plaid flannels for Fall. I think I need one with more of a harvest theme. Of course I can't resist the lovely pitchers. I am still searching for an affordable vintage ladder for hanging quilts. Happy Thanksgiving!

  19. Your home looks very inviting for fall. I've been so busy lately I haven't done a lot of fall decorating, so I really should get started. I am a big fan of toile, so I like your pitches and of course the bedroom with the toile touches. Yet my favorite part was your view! What a wonderful site you have to see right outside your door! I bet that hill is really spectacular when the leaves change colors. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

  39. LOVE that ladder in the guest bedroom!!!!!!!!! What a great idea! You have beautiful hardwood floors! I wish we had them throughout the main floor. Why, oh why am I forced to endure carpet in our dining room?!?!?! Makes no sense to me! I would be thrilled to have hardwoods throughout the entire house and just use area rugs as needed. Sigh! Thank you for the tour! Lovely!
