Magnolia Wreath

Seeing all the different wreaths out there in blogland

I decided to make one myself.

I had magnolia leaves leftover from Christmas decorations last year and wasn't sure what I would use

them for then a light bulb went off.

Do you ever keep $ store grapevine wreaths and dismantle them. I do so I can use the wreath plain.

So I just happened to have a few of them on hand, a glue gun and dried magnolia leaves.

So you know where this is going.....

So easy, just pull off the leaves from the stem and lay them out. Use front and backs of leaves for

some dimension .   Now start gluing them to the grapevine wreath. Some of my leaves were quite

large,  but that's ok. Makes it special. Not perfect.

Then I added a cute ribbon made of raffia.  Use what you have on hand.

I always have raffia....

Wasn't sure where to hang it so it sits on my wall sconce in the bedroom.

So bloggers never throw away anything, you never know when it will come in handy.

                                 Love my cute wreath!!

                                        Thanks for visiting!

  2. I love that! I love magnolia leaves and have considered snipping some branches off the ones at the front of our subdivision to use at Christmas time but have never done it. LOL! I think they look good for this time of year too. The raffia really adds the perfect Fall accent to it.

  3. Your wreath is beautiful. It's good to re-use things and just re-purpose them. One can save a few dollars that way. Enjoy the weekend.

  5. I used to have a magnolia wreath in my bedroom years ago - it was one of my favourite treasures for a long time. I'll be storing those old magnolia leaves this winter for future use - it looks awesome!
