In the garden

                                  Happy Monday Everyone!

                            Hope your weekend was eventful!

Ours was a trip to the garden centre.  Late for the garden plants...vegetables that is...

But the weather here was not co-operating.   Rain and cold weather dampened our plans. Plus
I've hurt my back....disc pinching a nerve and my right leg suffers with sciatica....
That's a whole long story for another day. Trying to keep optimistic...

I had to have my vegetable garden ..hurting or not  so
Mr. WWH tilled the vegetable garden while I gathered the necessary tools.

Cages for the tomatoe plants, fencing for the peas to climb..rakes, hoes etc.

I cut down this year on the tomatoe plants only planted 3.
2 zucchini plants
seeds for peas
4 head lettuce

Indian corn
pumpkins
sunflowers
and this year I'm hoping I'll have a great crop in wild flowers for cutting.....

I didn't drag out my garden art and today it's raining cats and dogs......

Hope the seeds don't get flushed away by the heavy rain...

Here it is all planted, Now Mother Nature can take over.

Looks like the hay needs to be cut....

Here's a picture from last year with the garden ready to harvest.....

Quite the difference a couple of months can be.    So Mother Nature we need heat..and lots of it.

                                                        Thanks for stopping by!

  1. We sure have had some cool temperatures overnight lately. We had much needed rain overnight and more coming today. The gardens will be growing and growing. Hope your back is feeling better. Keep smiling :)

  2. You have a beautiful spot there Linda. I hope the rain lets up and doesn't drown the seeds. We didn't get our seeds in on the weekend and now we're looking at a week of rain. :( Have a good week!

  3. Oh I love your property! It's so green and spacious and private! Your garden is going to be great. Loved seeing the picture of it from last year. It's a big size! I'm sorry to hear that you've been having back and leg pain. I've had sciatica before and it's soooo painful. I've never had a pinched nerve in the back but have heard how uncomfortable it can be. Are you seeing a doctor for treatment? Hope you start feeling better soon so you can enjoy gardening again.
