Fresh Herb Wreath
Welcome!
Fall!
The leaves on the trees are turning ....a cool brisk air....
boots...sweaters....jeans....scarves......
Time to clean up the vegetable garden or
did you plant in containers...
Well I had an abundance of Lemon Thyme and
Rosemary.....
Did you know that if you smell rosemary
you know run it through your hands that
it helps with memory.......
So I decided to make a fresh herb wreath...
Just so I could smell that
Rosemary.......
I'm sure any plain form you have on hand will do
but I had this one on hand.....
a tad larger than I wanted but heck it's free right...
Just cut your bunches of herbs and tie them...
I used fine floral wire.....$store....
Then I tied them onto my wreath
using the same wire...
so it doesn't show.......
You could use lavender in bunches ...sage...
with the rosemary and time.....
Oh wouldn't that smell
heavenly.....
I haven't hung mine yet but here it is
on my sideboard close to the
door so when a breeze come through
heavenly.......
Enjoy you fall day!
Out touring with the 49 ford pick up..........
Thanks for stopping by!

I love this idea, Linda. I must see if my lemon thyme is still usable. It sure makes a pretty and nicely scented wreath. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath looks lovely and even better that it is scented. Have fun on your tour! It's going to be a beautiful day in our areas. My friend and I are off to Buzzfest in Terra Cotta, Ontario (fine art artisans outdoor event.) I don't plant a garden on our small lot but I do love stocking up at the farmer's markets.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet wreath and I bet so heavenly with the scent. Beautiful fall pictures.

So very pretty and I bet it smells pretty too!
ReplyDeleteThat's really pretty! I love the idea of making an herb wreath like that. I didn't know that rosemary helps with memory.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeleteMakes a lovely wreath!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I'm sure the scent from the herb wreath is wafting through your home. I love to touch herbs and even have a little garden sign that says "Please touch the herbs"
ReplyDeleteHi Linda
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this post. It's so funny because I was harvesting herbs the other day to dry for the winter and thought about making a wreath. Now I know how, thanks to your great tutorial!
