crocheting a rainbow of colours blanket.....
happy hooking........
knitting slippers..........
These ones..........................
found the pattern on Ravelry......Felted Press
So the knitting began ......one foot and then the other.....
then there was the sewing together........
Made them in a day..........
The pattern was easy to follow and once I started knitting......
I couldn't put it down......
This ONLY WORKS ON 100% WOOL.....
I had Patons on hand ......
took 150g ........
Once they were made I put them in a pillow case
knotted it and dropped them into the hottest
water in my washing machine with a
pair of sneakers ........
This helps with the agitation....
Took about twenty minutes to felt to my size.....
shaped them to my foot......
Then placed them on a towel on my hearth
to dry for the next two days......
Then I took out my bottle of buttons that
I have collected over the years......
and what BUTTONS did I find.......
the exact......as shown in the picture.....
WHAT WERE THE ODDS.......
Sewed on the tabs and added the buttons....
There you have it one pair of the coziest, warmest....
stylist knitted slippers......
But before I could wear them I had to make
sure I added some puffy paint to to soles.......
to prevent me from slipping on my
hardwood floors........
Next I going to crochet a pair and see
how they turn out......
HMMMM no more wool....
OH well a visit to the wool shop is in order.......
Have a glorious Columbus day and a Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
Linda
If you are like me, any excuse to go to the yarn store is a good one.
ReplyDeleteYour slippers turned out great.
These are adorable! I really like them. Does the puffy paint work and stay in place? I hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend. It was beautiful here.
