NEED A LITTLE INSPIRATION

Remember this post on NEEDLE INSPIRATION.
This picture from Country Living mag.

Well here is my Quilt.

                                                                      It measures 68" X 84".

I JUST LOVE HOW IT TURNED OUT.

I also made a pillow sham to match.                                                   The sham measures 32 x 25 with a 2" flange.

I used scraps to make the centre and then used my leftover fabric for the rest.
Here is a close up.

Here is the back of the quilt. Love the texture of the blues.
I do all my own quilting on a little gracie frame.
I used a meandering or stipple effect on both the sham and the quilt.
Just in case you are wondering about the label  LAVENDER RIDGE that is me as well.

Enjoy!
until next time,
Linda

  1. Hi Linda,
Oh, this turned out beautiful, your grandson is a lucky little boy. The machine quilting you did is amazing! I like that you made a matching sham as well! Great job!
    Have a great weekend...
    All the Best,
    Christine

  3. Linda - your quilt is so gorgeous. I used to quilt years ago. I'm just setting up a sewing room and you have inspired to try quilting again.

  5. I love it! If I didn't have a quilt top I just started hand quilting and a baby quilt on my design wall I might have to make one for myself.
    Thanks for sharing.

  6. I love your quilt! I'm partial to red, white & blue.
I have one room in those colors. A small room for the grands to sleep in, I sew in that room & use it for exercising. It's definitely a multipurpose room.
    Hugs!

  8. Hi Linda, beautiful quilt. How are things in your part of Ontario. In my part of Ontario it has been snowy and windy and not too nice to be out in, especially if you have to walk like I do. Ah well, spring is coming, LOL Hugs, Chris
