Thrifty finds while out touring...

Thrifty finds while out touring in this.......

We left early Saturday morning and our first stop was a small town called Millbrook.
We happened upon a yard sale that the local Lyons Club was hosting.
Great buys.... This ironstone platter $1.00

a chippy metal plant stand $1.00

a wooden wall shelf that I need to transform $2.00
Then we were off to tour the Northumberland Hills.
Such  picturesque sights.
Our next stop was Bewdley. A cottage town.  Sorry I did not take any pictures at this
antique store but I did purchase this for $1.00
 Off and traveling again .
We ended up our day at Orono. This quaint town is noted for its abundance of Antiques
stores.
Lucky for me there was one that was closing and what was left was free.
YES I SAID   " FREE"
So I scored this cute ironstone jug, a basket to hold bread, rolls etc., a rattan magazine holder and
a glass candy dish.
I would say that we had a marvelous day!!

I'm off again tomorrow to a large sale  1 1/2 hours north east of us.
Can't wait to see what treasures I find this time.

Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Oh Linda - I wish I'd gone to that sale in Millbrook! I'm in Peterborough. I'm heading out to a few yard sales on Sat that look good. This afternoon I'm going to Port Hope to pick up an old wash tub stand. J
