Have you Started to Decorate?????
I HAVE!!!!
You know there is only 41 days til Christmas......
Just putting it out there...........
Thanks for stopping by!!
For the first time, I have started my decorations BEFORE Thanksgiving. Feeling a little guilty about it, but since I recognize I am moving much slower I decided why not. Spent the entire day putting up two trees. First one went up relatively easy. The second one...was a different story. Pre-lit trees are wonderful - until the center suddenly turns dark! And I would love to meet the person who ran those lights. After literally hours in the middle have been removed. Tomorrow it's off to the store to find more lights and keep your fingers crossed that I can replicate the way they were originally wired! By this weekend the ornaments will be on and this frustrating day will be something to laugh about!
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look like Christmas at my home too Linda! But boy haven't I made a mess with this Christmas decorating of mine. Hope you have a wonderful day, Gail
ReplyDeleteHey Linda...
ReplyDeleteYes and no...thinking about it...still trying to rake all the leaves after that horrible wind on the weekend...
Perhaps I should start bringing out my tubs...see what's what...I did buy a new "guy" for the season...will feature him soon!!!!
Enjoy your day...sun is out...no wind...need to get my geraniums and spikes in for the winter...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Oh Linda,
ReplyDeleteThe countdown is just too exhausting to think about. I did go out last week and purchased a few things to decorate with, although we don't start decorating until the day after Thanksgiving, that is the tradition that we've always had. It's a huge undertaking getting everything out of storage but it all looks wonderful once put in place. Can you believe that I haven't purchased the first gift yet, I'd better get myself in gear soon!
Not quite ready yet, but thanks for the reminder. Time has a funny way of slipping by me these days.

I have mine all done except for the tree!! I decided to get at it before I went away but I will most likely do some tweaking when I get home. It feels good to have it done early so I can enjoy it even though it doesn't look like winter outside!
ReplyDeleteI haven't started, but I've been thinking about what I might want to use on my mantel this year.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started either but already getting all my decor out and working on some crafts and pillows. It is coming too fast!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSince we haven't yet had Thanksgiving, we wait until after it to start decorating. I realize that you've already had yours though. I know you'll be done before I pull out the first box! Ha!
