This has been a very busy week with the kitchen renos and all
so finally the reveal of my Country Chic Ruffled drop cloth cushions.
They turned out amazing...............
They give my antique table and chairs the Chic look they needed.
Remember the old cushion covers I made here. They worked well with the red toile curtains, but I was ready for a change.
New Kitchen , New Cushions!!!!!!!.
These incredible looking cushions made of drop cloth have just the amount of weight
needed to for the skirt to hang just right.
My kitchen table set is more than 90 years old. We purchased this table and chair set through a
friend of my father-in law for a mere $20.00. That's some 40 years ago.
For many years this table and chairs were in my dining room. We have had many gatherings over
years on this table.
When we moved to the country 21 years ago this table and chairs moved to the kitchen.
But you know how you want change, well I wanted a harvest table.............
Mr WWH never wanted a change so here it sits in my kitchen .
I'm glad I took his advice and we kept this set.
Notice I hung my giant bread board....... Has the same patina as my table....
What are your thoughts...........
Have a great day!!
Thanks for visiting!!

I love your new chair cushions! I hope to make some for our painted pressed back chairs in the near future. I love your hutch in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts? It looks like the sort of kitchen that would beckon everyone to settle in - just the right amount of cosiness and charm - very welcoming! The breadboard is perfect - and right where you can easily find it if you want to make an arrangement.
ReplyDeleteLove the chair cushions, so pretty and perfect for your table. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteYour ruffled chair covers look so pretty! I agree that the drop cloth material is the perfect weight to let the ruffle hang properly. I had to clean a spot off of mine the other day and it came right out! Drop cloth material is so practical. Your kitchen looks so pretty with all of the blue and white in it. Love your oversized breadboard on the wall too!
