Garden Art on Pallets

Painting on wood pallets..........

Remember our Christmas in July and we worked on these cute Santa's.

Did you notice that on the other side of the table I was working on a boxwood .

I used the same process painting as we did here on the other pallets before painting the Santa faces.

Then I drew the planter first. Then above the planter a large circle for the starting of the boxwood.

I used black and brown craft paint and painted in my planter. Then added a bit of orange and brown and hi-lighted the edge of the pot.

Next I took a golden yellow for my tag and added a bit of green to the edge of the tag.

I covered my circle with a moss green then proceeded with a flat brush and added other greens.

Lake Girl Paints gives a great tutorial.

I continued till I felt that this was the look I wanted and lastly added some strokes of yellow.

I used a sharp sharpie and wrote BOXWOOD on the tag.

This was also a fun project.

Why don't you give it a try.

                                               Thanks for visiting!

  4. So cute! I love how hand painted that looks (and is). You could even sell those. They would be cute displayed in an easel too.
