On The Menu Kale Quiche
On tonight's menu we are having Kale Quiche.
This is a light and easy recipe:
preheat oven to 350 degrees
5 large eggs
3/4 cup milk ( I use almond milk )
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
Whisk eggs and add in milk, salt and pepper and parmesan cheese.
Then add in your homemade Kale pesto , about half a cup.
You can find the recipe for the kale pesto here
pie dough... eg. frozen pie shell,
make your own or do like I did and use light pastry puffs.
Lightly grease your pie plate ( I use butter)
place dough in your pie plate .
Now pour the ingredients into your pie crust and into a preheated oven for 35 minutes.
Take it out of the oven and let it cool a little.
I love to have kale quiche with some homemade cranberry sauce and a side tossed salad.
Can I dish you out a plate???
I hope you try this recipe... Kale is so good for you.
Thanks for visiting!
Linda

ReplyDeleteYummy and nutritious!! Looks good, LInda. And I'm loving your new feature of "coming up this week". I wish I could plan ahead that well - I write on the run most of the time.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so healthy! It reminds me of a potato soup and kale soup recipe I haven't cooked in years!
ReplyDeleteOh I never thought of this...great idea and yes it is so good for you. I am always thinking of ways to work in kale. Thanks Linda.
