I love living in the Country but....

I love living in the country but when these guys appear ....

This was taken across the road from us in the farmers field.

There were two of them, but this one gets to eat...who know what?????

The dogs started barking and there they were at 7:30 this morning. In the bright sunshine.

Not letting my dogs run loose this morning. Into their dog run they go.

Now on the brighter side, the spy apples are ready for picking......Apples anyone??

                                                      Thanks for visiting!

  1. Wow, I have never seen a coyote! I don't blame you for not letting your dogs out! Your apples make we want to make a homemade apple crisp! Have a great day!

  2. Oh, dear, what a menace. We, too, have 'free range' coyotes roaming the country side and never let the dogs out too early in the morning or too late in the evening. I'm not familiar with spy apples - are they sweet? I'll definitely have to look into that type of apple 'cause the entire family loves anything made with apples.

  3. Good thing you saw those coyotes before you let the dogs loose! That's scary. Have fun picking apples. I bet they're good.

  4. We don't often see coyotes here but we do hear them at night once in a while. I'm glad you have a dog run to protect your dogs from them. Are those Northern Spy Apples? I haven't heard of them in years. It must be an old tree. Have a good week. Pam

  7. Yikes - don't know how I would feel if one of those came into my yard!!! As much as I love so many things about living in the country, I'm still a city girl at heart when it comes to this kind of critter.
