Another snowy cold weekend here in
the Kawarthas....
I can hardly wait to say it has warmed up and the snow is melting...
So I crocheted another set of
fingerless mittens with
a headband to match.
I used Red Heart Super Saver...Monet.....
Love how it crocheted up. Just my grands favourite colours.
She already has the mittens and I just finished the headband.
That was so easy.
The headband is knitted on 6mm needles
cast on 26 stitches
knit 8 st. then purl 2 st
( cable st).put 3st on the needle in front of work
knit the next 3 st
then knit the 3st on the needle that's in front
of your work
purl 2 st
knit the last 8 st.
row 2
purl 8
knit 2
purl 6
knit 2
purl 8
This is it . follow these st. till you reach 19 "
Hairband is approx. 4" x 19"
Sew ends together weave in loose threads.
Hope your weekend was enjoyable!!
Thanks for visiting!
Linda
I love the colours in this yarn. Very pretty and spring like. :) We need spring like colours don't we? :)
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! I'll bet my DIL would love one of those!
ReplyDeleteCute!! I wish you'd shown us your face though - your hair looks so pretty. Natural curls?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I can't wait for this cold snap to end. Right now it looks like a crystal palace out there because there seemed to be a freezing frost last night. Everthing is white, white, white.
Hi Linda, you are so talented! I wish I could crochet, knit or sew....LOL..I can always admire and appreciate.
ReplyDeleteCute! My Aunt Joyce was always crocheting too. One day I'm going to try to learn again.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and great colors.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the cold to go away. We had snow again last night. At this rate we'll be old by the time this house is finished.
