Prairie Style..or just plain cozy..

Who Says you can't have Prairie......

In our modern bungalow I like to change
our living space into a cozy retreat!

Our formal living room with the cherry wood wall unit..
Cherry wood end tables and coffee table
take on a country look as soon as
I add on the dropcloth slips to
                                                       my sofas.

Lots of comfy down pillows of all sizes...

A colourful quilt thrown over a parlour chair.

A rustic bird, white daisies in a metal pail
some great magazines, a birds nest
some moss balls all on a rustic
                                                gray wicker tray.

                             Now that says French...country style....
                                                  or
                                      Prairie Style....
                                                   or
                                         just country!!!!

I also change up my kitchen table centre piece with a vintage dough bowl
                               then I add the following
a white pitcher with white hydrangeas
                                white long tapered candles
                                   some colourful transferware
a small soup tureen filled with ivy
and added a touch of whimsy  with pretty napkins.

The drop cloth table runner stays as well as the ruffled drop cloth chair cushions
for the cozy french, prairie style feel.

                                                          GET THE LOOK!

                                     LAYER, FLOWERS, TEXTURE, PLAY

                                                  Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I like the new slipcovers you added to the sofas. You will enjoy being able to wash those too. Your kitchen has a lot of charm with the blue and white transferware and the white linens.
