More Fall
Fall!
Been cleaning out the last of the vegetable garden this rainy weekend.....
Look what I found.......
I thought that my pumpkins were never going to appear....
maybe bad seeds.....
Slow starters that's for sure.....
Well they got picked ......now don't laugh .........
they are cute don't you think....
Here, I placed one in my orb at the front
door.....as well as fresh bittersweet.......
You know if they had been any bigger I wouldn't have
been able to display one here..I'm thankful for
small pumpkins......
Here is the corn that I grew .... now stalks.... picked enough
for the front door and gave a bundle to our
daughter.....
Moved my giant mums to the front as well.....
Now don't laugh...... look at the size of
these pumpkins......
I also placed one here....
along with a rat and a scarecrow.....
look hard and you will see them...
Well looks like this gal is off to Linton's
to buy a few large pumpkins.......
What have you been up too lately?
Linda

I had a busy weekend doing all sorts of inside jobs ... at least damp, chilly weather is good for getting me to tackle the things inside. It's still rainy today. I only have a few outside jobs to finish up.
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkins are great, mine didn't produce anything this year. I had some seeds for white ones, got flowers but they just dropped off after blooming with no pumpkins. It's a good thing the farm down the road sells lots of them.
Hey! I think your pumpkins are nice. I remember once trying to grow cantaloupe and they looked more like oranges. They were so small. I wonder what those commercial farmers add to their soil to make them grow so big! Your Fall décor outside looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing corn stalks in fall decor! We tried to grow pumpkins once...the vines took over our entire backyard and didn't yield a single pumpkin! Too hot here, I imagine. :) Your porch looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteAll looks wonderful ! I like your little pumpkins they are cute ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good week !
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkins may be tiny but they did better than mine. Just too rainy here this year. The pumpkin in the orb looks a bit Cinderella, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI love your little pumpkins!! And the way you used one in the orb is genius!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a "volunteer" pumpkin plant growing in the garden this year - it produced two nice sized pumpkins - what a surprise. When I plant them with the intention to grow them, they never bloom. Figures.
What a great surprise to find that pumpkin. Beautiful front porch.

Your little pumpkins are cute. Maybe they're pie pumpkins? I love the large mums and cornstalks. Your front entry looks really nice for fall. I've been cleaning out the veggie garden and got 7 very small squash. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Fall decor and how great that you were able to use the corn stalks that you planted!...Beautiful porch!
