Do you walk around aimlessly looking for that perfect gift???
Or do you know right away what you are going to give.....
No alcohol, No wine.......
A box of Chocolates??? Maybe.....
Some flowers.........
Well I found the perfect gift....
One that goes on and on and on......
This cute cypress tree...
Did you know that after the frost leaves you can plant this cute tree in your garden?
Now how cute is that.
Then in the fall did it up and put it in a planter and bring it in for another festive
look.........
Look closely at the galvanized pot it is sooooo cute with the little bird on it....
It comes with instructions for planting later and as well for watering.
It's not going to break the bank either.....
Only $9.99 at my Loblaws store....
I'm sure you can find them at your local grocery store...
Maybe not as expensive.... But for a good box of chocolates ....
you would pay much more..... Or that exquisite bottle of Wine.......
Now doesn't this wee tree look amazing...
I might just keep this one for me and pick up another...
or display this one on my table till I need a hostess gift...
Have you started planning for your parties and hostess gifts?
As always thanks for stopping by. I love reading all your comments.
What a great idea for a hostess gift! I bought one just like that, it's on the shelf in my powder room.
ReplyDeleteEvening Linda...
ReplyDeleteI have taken a whole pineapple with a ribbon...
A pot of Basil...
Napkins is another good one...
Just a few...
Or...
Those sweet little burlap potpouri filled stockings!! [wink wink]
Cheers!
Linda :o)
I kept one on my bedroom dresser all winter long last year. I had it in a rusty bucket that I decorated with an image I downloaded from the Graphics Fairy. It was my favourite Christmas ornament so I think it is the perfect hostess gift!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Linda, What a wonderful idea. This little tree can be dressed for Christmas and as you say placed in the garden to enjoy during the summer then brought back in the house for the following Christmas. I prefer to give plants, because as much as I love flowers, they are so short lived, where plants will last indefinitely. Whoever receives this gift will be thrilled. Have a lovely weekend. Best Wishes Daphne
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! What fun! I would have never thought to plant it after Christmas....but now you have me thinking!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
karianne
That is a great gift idea! I'd rather have that than a poinsettia (which alot of people choose). You can use that year round too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your idea. How very thoughtful and perfect for the months beyond Christmas. I'm so glad you shared this fantastic gift suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI, too, have given so many of my quilts away. There's such joy in sewing for others. My favorite color combination for a quilt is red and white. I have a nine patch that I use for solely decorating. I love to being it out in the summer and for Christmas it's perfect.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your thoughtful comment.
I hope you have a great weekend,
