Welcome to my sewing / crafting studio.............
Grab a cup of your favourite brew and stop awhile..............
This may be a long post.......... reorganizing.......... all because of this...........
and this....................
Pretty messy right!!!!!
Well it has been some time since I made a quilt....or quilted one........
let's say a year....... so it was time to move around my quilting frame and make room...
for a new look.... a new year..........
So this quilting frame was moved to this wall under the window......................
Next the cutting table was moved to the closet wall.....................
In case you were wondering what that gadget on the right of my cutting table....
It's a wool cutter, for making strips for rug hooking..............
Storage for ribbons, books, freezer paper for transferring applique......
Storage for paints, easels, wool, wrapping paper........etc.....in here....behind these doors
.
I know more work need to be done in here.............
Fabric storage is in here....................
Too many sewing machines..........
Beads,florist,moss, glitter........etc.....here.....
Oh yes and storage here for stamps, ink, paper product........
My sewing/craft desk cleaned up.................................
Told you it would be a long post..... Hope you enjoyed the tour.........
Do you have a special place to hang out.......craft....sew.....

Good Evening Linda, What a lovely large space to have as a sewing/craft room.
ReplyDeleteI have a sewing room, it isn't very large, so when I am busy it can become a little messy, but about once a month.....or maybe two, depending on how busy I am, I have a clear up. If I am being honest, it doesn't take long to return to it's original state. I say it is because I need a larger room, or is it that maybe I am just a messy worker....I think I'll go with the first explanation as that sits better.
Best Wishes
Daphne
Oooooo....I agree with Daphne! What a wonderful place to play in. It doesn't look very messy to me. I love you have one big room to sew and to craft in. I sew in a guest bedroom and craft on one end of my sunporch. I could be jealous but I won't be. :)
ReplyDeleteBe a weetie,
shelia ;)
What a great space Linda!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, What a great room; I love our table for your Featherweight and of course your cutting table is great too. I only have a small sewing table that only will hold my machine-I'd love to have a table like yours. We definitely do need our own space to create in. Thank you for sharing; you've done a wonderful job organizing.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic space to craft and play in!! The natural light is beautiful, love all of your work zones. I can see you spending many happy hours in there. The quilting frame fits perfectly under the window. Enjoy and have fun!
All the Best,
Christine
WOW...WOW...WOW...
ReplyDeleteYou are a REAL crafter, Linda...
I have ONE pair of scissors...I cut my patterns out on the FLOOR...my wool is in plastic bags...
Can I rent one corner of your room???
WOW...I am impressed..
I am pitiful compared to you...do you sell crafts that you make...
I guess Mr WWH has his own little work shop as well...
Fantastic...
Kudos to you...
Still -15 here....brrrrrrr...
Enjoy your evening..
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Looks very organized to me! My studio, where I paint glassware for my business,is in an area of my kitchen so I have to keep it neat, but luckily I have 1/2 of a garage that can be messy! It's hard to be neat and creative at the same time! Good luck, hope you get tons done!

You have a great space for all your sewing and crafting Linda. I don't do any of that so I don't have a space per se. Hubby has his music room/man caves for his pass time downstairs and I spend my hours upstairs in my space.
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have your own craft/sewing room! Looks like the perfect place to while away the hours to make something pretty. I don't own a sewing machine so I don't have a sewing room. If I did though, I'd love to have an organized space like yours!
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is serious!! Wow. I can only imagine having that kind of space....lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to organize my craft stuff and it is a nightmare! I don't think I'll get mine as neat looking as yours. Great job!

I was relegated to the unfinished basement of our 1935 era house when we first moved in a couple of years ago. I was sewing, painting furniture, crafting, working on paper arts all on a folding table down in the dungeon. Every time I wanted to move from one craft to another, I had to move everything. Then I decided we didn't really need a 2nd guest room ALL the time, so moved all my "soft crafts" (sewing, knitting, embroidery) to that room - bought a little pantry unit to store everything in, set up a table and ironing board. It's so much better to have some light.
ReplyDeleteYour room looks awesome. I wish I could keep mine that neat. Great job!! Doesn't it inspire you just to walk in there!
Wow, you have a great work space. ANd it's s organized! Doesn't it feel great! I was looking at your snow photos. Wow....so pretty! And I would love to have a wood stove although we wouldn't get the opportunity to use it much down here.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteWow!!!
You have an amazing place to create!!!
I adore your fabric storage cabinet!!!
Light and bright...a great place for any type of crafting!!!
I, too, am doing an updating in Studio One, my creative space!
Nice to see what others are doing, as well!!!
Fondly,
Pat
What a great space!! i love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteKathy
Very nice space - I envy you all the long walls! I am also coveting that wonderful cabinet you have for fabric storage! If I may ask, I have a Janome DP1600 and I am looking for a frame. Wondering what frame you are using?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a great space to create. I also have a studio/hobby room athough I think it is quite a bit smaller (our smallest and 4th bedroom upstairs.) I finally finished painting it and had to totally reorganize it after that. It is much better but I still have to turn the farmtable to squeeze a dresser in. I wish I had your lovely fabric cabinet!
ReplyDeleteOh, to have everything at hand when you need it. I have to hunt in several different rooms to find things.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous- to have a room all for crafting-sewing-your so lucky-Beautiful storafe pieces as well
ReplyDeleteKarryann
That's a craft room! I want to know where you got that amazing case with your scrapbook scissors, I love that. I'm tossing the idea of putting my craft room in a spare bedroom or bonus room in our new home...decisions, decisions!!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a STRUT YOUR STUFF Social hop. I'd love for you to hop on over, grab a button and come show off your best projects. Or, just come link up your blog!!

What a great sewing/quilting/projects/rug hooking etc room. Made me happy just to look at all the areas and how you organized them. I am following so I am reminded to visit again soon.
ReplyDeleteJoy
Great space you've got, Linda! I wish I had that much room to move around in my craft/sewing room.
ReplyDeleteLove your space Linda, it looks like a place to get down to some crafting business!!! I also have a studio space. You can see it here if you are interested: http://littlevintagecottage.blogspot.com/2012/02/craft-studio-reveal.html
ReplyDeleteTania
What a lovely space to be creative in! Well done on the organisational front - my craft room could do with a touch of that !! J9 x
ReplyDeleteGood Grief it is WONDERFUL!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great workable space, Linda! I absolutely love looking at other bloggers craft-sewing rooms, who truly use their spaces & aren't just decorating another room to make it pretty to look at. I think you can have both, but mainly it needs to be a place you want to create in, and you can see that's what your space is. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy the tour! Thank you for showing me. I love to see craft studios. Which sewing machine do you like best? I just got the Brother one you have in your closet for free with my husband's airline miles rewards. I haven't had a sewing machine for years but I made a few things with it and I think it will work for me for now. I had never seen a wool cutter. I want to see some of your projects now. Have a happy Sunday.
