Cardinals A Woodland Scene

Cardinals a Woodland Scene....or

                         Red and White..........

either way I'm a copy cat.

When I had opened my new Midwest Living Magazine
and came to this page on Red and White
I knew I had to  make this.

Beautiful Cardinals on branches floating in the air.

So I went about collecting these items
that I had on hand all but one.

Yes I have a vase, branches that I have collected over
time, a berry pick , and cute
A white planters pot and an assortment of
                                          pine cones.

So off to the local hardware store where I purchased

                             What an amazing product.
New to me. All you do is just add water , give it a stir
stand back and watch the snow appear.

                 So first things first....
                    Florist oasis

place  in the bottom of the vase.
Then I took my berry pick and took off small stems of berries and then used florist wire and wired them to the branches.

Then placed the branches in the florist oasis.
Next came snow.....Dropped by spoonful and covered the oasis                              then fill so far up the branches.
Attached my cute Cardinals to the branches.
Placed the pine cones in the pot with
another Cardinal and a small sprig of berries.

                                    How cute is this!!

Now this can be on display right through
                                  the festive season.

                                    Thanks for visiting!

  1. Great job, Linda♥
It pays to pick up wee things from Nature...they will come in handy!
I brought a lovely bunch of small pine cones home from the cottage...
    Just ready to be utilized!!
    Enjoy your week♥

    Linda :o)

  2. That is so cute! I love how real that snow looks. I have the fake powdery snow but I've never used the kind you mix with water. That makes such a beautiful holiday decoration.

  3. That is a really sweet idea Linda. And so easy too. It looks great!

  4. I love it Linda. I always like to put birds throughout our Christmas tree.

  5. Hi Linda, Oh girl, I love this!!!! Right now, I'm getting a bit tired of harvest decorations and ready for a change. Thanks for sharing!
    Hugs, Noreen

I've not heard of the snow, either. :)

  10. So cute! I didnt know that type of snow could be purchased. You've now forced me to go to Hobby Lobby.
