Baskets of Rainbows

I finally did it......

Let's start from the beginning shall we.
While browsing Ravelry I came upon this beautiful site.
                       Felted Button

Oh how she loves to create beautiful patterns in luscious colours and this
blanket that I admired was crocheted with this yarn purchased at Deramores.

You know I live in Canada, and I have never ordered yarn online before.

Stylecraft Special DK.......Oh so many colours to choose from......I placed
my order and the shipment came across the ocean from the UK.

I was like a little kid in a candy store.......

I couldn't wait to get started , so I ordered my pattern again on line
at Felted Button.

                           I downloaded my pattern and got started crocheting right away.....

It's funny how things change and the excitement
left.....

It sat most of the winter....I would pick it up and crochet a row or two .........

Christmas came and went.......then Easter.........

I needed to get back at crocheting.......and set my mind to it........

I'm glad I did!!     It turned out beautiful!!

I love how the border turned out......At first I tried to follow the pattern.......

crochet a chain , leave a loop....etc just wasn't happening.....then all of a sudden
It worked.........one chain of white then a chain of purple........the rest is history.

This beautiful blanket measures 50 x 50 inches. The pattern called for much smaller
but I wanted a lap throw.

Aren't the colours fabulous!

                In case you are interested in the hooks I use
                    they are Clover Armour crochet hooks with easy grip handles .

I used the #4 purple handle..........Did I tell you how lovely this yarn was.........

I know that one day I'll be ordering Stylecraft Yarn again in the distant future.......
