Watercolour Pillow

Buz, buzzzzzz, buzzzzzzz.......What am I?

                                                     A Bee of course!

I really enjoy painting!

I'm only a beginner, should take some courses....but I'm  the kind of gal that likes to fly by the seat of my pants...

I know all you artists out there are gasping....OH MY!!!

But what the heck I'm having fun! And that's what it's all about. Right!!

I am finding through trial and error with watercolour it's not as forgiving as acrylic paints.

Too much water and the paint bleeds on cotton and so you run with it......

see ...what I mean.. take a closer look

A big fat bee........

If I get tired of looking at my bee I'll just flip it over
and I have a new burlap pillow.

Today I'm working on another watercolour painting

I might even paint with my acrylics and compare how the two paintings compare....

or not!!

Having fun painting!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I like your bee on the pillow. Enjoy the day.

    1. Thanks Pam! Hope you are enjoying this lovely weekend.

  2. Watercolour is definitely more tricky than acrylics. If I'm feeling particularly adventurous and a bit free thinking, I'll get out my watercolours. I would never have the gorgeous to use it on fabric.
I don't think you should call yourself a beginner. Your work is awesome!

  3. How pretty! You are such a good artist. You should really consider opening up an Etsy shop and selling those!

    1. Thanks , but who would buy them!!!!

  4. Beautiful, beautiful...just love your artwork Linda!!

  5. LOVE this!! We just got new hives a few weeks ago, since they didn't make it through the winter. Have you considered selling a lovely like this :)??
