Welcoming FALL
Hello friends,
I don't know about you but I welcome fall. Cooler days and nights, fires, sweaters........
Don't get me wrong I love the heat too but this year here in the Kawarthas has been
extremely hot and dry. The gardens sure have taken a beating.
With changing temperatures and cooler days and nights the maple trees
are giving us spectacular colour.
As I sat in our sunroom the other day I pulled out my watercolour pencils and started painting
this leaf. Our trees overlooking our deck have yet to change colour so I improvised.
Love how it turned out looking like Quilt Art.
Well I couldn't stop there, it moved me to bring out my water colour paints.
You all remember our 49 ford pickup.
Why not a truck full of pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!
Welcoming fall and all its spectacular colour.
We are off this weekend farther northwest with our vintage (classic car club) touring and
hoping to take many pictures of the changing of the season. The temperature is to be
around 60 F. or 17 celsius.
So it will be jeans for me and a warm sweater.........
Here's some pumpkins that I painted. This one in watercolour....
This next one in canvas.....
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Your watercolours are wonderful. I love the change in seasons too. I'm just catching up with blog visiting after being away in BC for just over 2 weeks. Enjoy your weekend car club activity.
ReplyDeleteI love your fall paintings Linda. It is definitely cooler here this weekend! Brr. Your vintage car drive sounds lovely and I hope you had a great time and saw lots of beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful artwork!
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is so pretty! I love the pic of the red pick up filled with pumpkins. I wish it was that cool here. We are still in the low 90's and 80's. Still wearing shorts and sandals and sleeveless tops. Still running our a/c and fans. I look forward to seeing your pictures from your travels.
ReplyDeleteLinda these are amazing. The truck of pumpkins makes me want to jump right in the middle.
