Where did August go?

Hello friends, I know it's been awhile.

We have had such a busy summer that I took a break from blogging.

I know many of you have done the same. Here we are still having extremely warm
days. Doesn't feel like September.

Loving all the fall decorations that I have been seeing. Makes me want to start pulling
out my fall......It's hard to think fall when my flower baskets are still blooming and
overflowing.

Thought I would share my newest passion.

I'm finding painting to be very therapeutic.

Our neighbours farm.

I tried to capture how this farm once looked.

Watercolour in my Strathmore mixed media journal.

This farm at one time may have had a rooster or two!

Watercolour Rooster abstract on 9 x 12 cold press paper.

My beautiful

grand daughter Miss A.  My first portrait!

I took up painting to help me get through the long months of pain.
Doctors, chiropractors,physiotherapists, MRI's and specialists.
In the end my back seems to have healed on it's own and no operation is in order.

                                    HOORAY!!!!!

My family physician told me this sometimes happens. That it's a good thing that
it took so long for me to see a specialist and the wait for an operation.

I would still like to know what brought on this pain. I don't remember hurting my back in any
way . I just remember getting out of my chair and being hunched over. It took me awhile to straighten up. That was over a year and a half ago. How can I be diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and was told that I would have my L3,4 and 5 fused together and my spinal canal scrapped of bone spurs.

I woke up one morning in May and I had no pain. I was wondering what the.....

I was on heavy meds and decided to stop taking them and within a month went back to my family doctor and told her my great news.
I just know my prayers we answered.

The power of prayer!

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to catch up.

                                                        Take care,

  2. That's wonderful news about your back. Many people (despite prayer) aren't so lucky. I hope that your condition doesn't return and that you continue to thrive. Your paintings look so pretty. You've really mastered how to be a good painter with all of your practice now.
