Before and After

                                                Hello Friends!!

                                     Happy sunny day to you all!!



I transformed my chalkboard.

Time for a change.

Pulled out my black paint and started painting the oak frame.

Here's how it looked  at Easter.

Cute don't you think?

But it lacked Wow!!!

Yes black paint is what it needed don't you think.

I added a cute farmhouse feel...Nothing like Farm Fresh Eggs to do the trick.

Love it when just a little paint changes it to a Wow!!

It hangs in the kitchen by the patio doors .  Wish the eggs were this cheap....

My free range eggs are $5.99......

Spring Home Tour Kitchen

                                              Welcome to our Kitchen!

                                           
A few years ago we renovated the kitchen here

                    Mainly on a budget.....
The cupboards were sound ...so just the doors were replaced....one thing led to another.....etc......

                     

Looking into the eating area.....

That table and chairs are over 100 .....

We purchased them from a friend close to 40 years ago and they were

in great shape and sturdy.

We had them refinished by a professional and now we need to 

have the table top redone......

After all these years I have never tired of this set.

The buffet and hutch were purchased only a few years ago and 

I refinished them ...

That's where White Weathered Hutch originated.

Spring touches on the hutch.....

Love my wee bunny...

Nothing says spring like Yellow Tulips!

Had to show my cute Chalkboard that was made with leftover trim from the

front hallway reno.

Added a piece of masonite and painted it with chalk paint...

Feathering your Nest

                                       Spring!!

                          The first signs of Spring!!


                    Here at the whiteweatheredhutch
            birds have appeared and are nesting on my hutch!!!

                                      

                                                           Can you hear them singing!!!!!

                                      

                                      Adding a birdhouse 
                               to a stand that Mr WWH  lathed,
                      I painted both pieces and then added
                               some moss to the roof as                
        

Spring!!

                        Welcome!

  The sun is shining, the birds are singing!
           Could it be!! A sign that spring is
                  on it's way!!

                      Time to refresh the hutch...

Down came all the red and white dishes and into the sink
to be washed and put away for another season.
                 The large platters were next...

                     Then the hutch got a good cleaning!

                        It's time to change up the dishes!
                            Out came my blue and white 
                                     transferware!!

              Since the birds were singing .......

               out came my feathered friends...

              They flew in and landed here and there.

                      Looks like they might stay awhile.

                          There's eggs in their nest !!

                          Well maybe it's a tad early for birds and
                                                 nests !



                                    So my feathered friends 
                                       out with you and in 
                                             with my bowl 
                                                of lemons!!

                             Spring with yellows and blues!!

Yes that's more like it!

                               Do you have an entryway where you can have a table,
                               mirror or painting, some baskets, maybe even  a lamp?


                              Well I wish I did,  so the next best thing is just at the top of
                               the stairs.......Our Landing.........


                              Here stands a cute small table that I can display on....

                                   I love White Tulips, White Baby's Breath and
                                        a White Rustic Urn to hold my display......
                     
                                             as seasons change.......

                                         

                              I can add a Pink Bunny for Easter......

                                       Some Eggs..........

                                 Or a Moss Ball.............

                             Or a stone Bunny.............

                              But for now I'm loving my White Tulips.
